"You were my morning light alone ..." - Christian Morgenstern (lecture)

Price: 9.00€

Christian Morgenstern - born in Munich in 1871 - owes his literary fame above all to his humorous poems and epigrams with their sharp wit, often imbued with a deep humanity. However, he also translated works by Scandinavian writers such as Strindberg and Ibsen in particular and was intensively involved in philosophy and anthroposophy. His travels through Europe were also marked by many stays at spas as a result of the tuberculosis he developed early on, which he succumbed to in 1914. Even 100 years after his death, his works have lost none of their relevance. The lecture describes his life, combined with a cross-section of his known and unknown works. - Registration required.
