Scythe day course at the Sängerruh

The day course is aimed at anyone interested in learning how to mow with a scythe for private use in gardens and orchards. The focus is on the actual mowing, including individual adjustment of the hand scythe and special mowing techniques. You can practise extensively under professional supervision. It is not necessary to bring your own equipment, but it can be brought along for inspection.
Contents: Material science, sharpening, ergonomics and sequence of movements, mowing techniques, dening (demonstration of common methods), use of cuttings and ecological meadow management (etc.)
Bring along: Snack, drink, sun protection, weatherproof work clothing, sports gloves if necessary, complete mowing equipment will be provided

Course location: Orchard meadow on Freiburg's Schönberg (Sängerruh)

The course will also take place in light rain (cancellation by email the day before in the event of heavy weather)
