BACH & FRAUENPOWER

Traditional May concert series with up-and-coming organists and Mitrate concert
Karin Karle (Münstertal), Johannes Götz (St. Peter) and Lars Schwarze (Freiburg) invite you on an organ tour through the region with a total of five concerts in May.

Three up-and-coming talents will kick things off on May 1 in a concert entitled NEXT GENERATION in the parish church of St. Trudpert in Münstertal with works by J. S. Bach and Petr Eben. Karin Karle (Münstertal) will be demonstrating FRAUENPOWER on May 5 in St. Martin, Freiburg, when she juxtaposes works by Jeanne Demessieux with those of Bach. On Ascension Day (May 9), the series goes on tour with BACH & BIKES. The starting point is Bad Krozingen train station (2.30 pm), with this year's concert stops being the churches in Wettelbrunn, Heitersheim and Bad Krozingen. On May 12th, Lars Schwarze (Freiburg) will be the NEW member of the series at the Protestant Church in Bötzingen. Under the motto "Bach & no Bach", the audience will be invited to guess whether the works played are actually by Bach. The series concludes on May 19 with the concert BACH & JAZZ in St. Peter's with Johannes Mössinger (piano), Bastian Jütte (percussion) and Johannes Götz (organ).

The concert series "Mit Bach durch die Regio" has been part of the region's concert landscape for 28 years. Every year in May, the Protestant District Cantorate of Freiburg and the Catholic District Cantorates of Münstertal and Hochschwarzwald invite you to rediscover the organ landscape between Kaiserstuhl, Markgräflerland and the Black Forest.
