Home and Escape Orchestra

The HEIM UND FLUCHT ORCHESTER is a musical group that has existed since 2012, in which young people from different cultures come together and create new music together from the pool of musical ideas they bring with them. The result is an explosive mixture of oriental sounds, Balkan beats, African singing, hot percussion rhythms and western string sounds. Ro Kuijpers and the HEIM UND FLUCHT ORCHESTER were awarded the 2018 Integration Prize of the City of Freiburg for their integrative work.
