The Lords of Blumeneck and their foundation activities for Freiburg Minster

Several stained glass windows in Freiburg Minster bear the coats of arms of the Blumeneck family. Sebastian von Blumeneck (d. 1541) was for many years the aristocratic representative of the "Münsterpfleger" and founder of the "Blumeneck Chapel". The 16th century was also the time of the Blumenecks' greatest political influence in the town. The lecture by Dr. Iso Himmelsbach focuses on the family's formative foundation activities.
