Watercolor - special. In focus: Landscape

This course offers advanced students in particular the opportunity to devote themselves intensively to a personally preferred watercolor technique. Previous experience in the traditional glaze-wash-wet-on-wet or wet-on-dry technique can be tested, practiced and deepened. Beginners will gain an insight into the diversity of the watercolor technique and try out its handling, and the question of individual perception and personal expression will also be addressed if desired. In the sense of revision, repetition and questioning, familiar themes and motifs from your own collection of pictures and motifs can be used. If the weather is good, it is also possible to use the Waldhof's surroundings as a direct source of inspiration. New subject areas can also be opened up, which can expand the concept of "landscape" from the conventional image to the abstract pictorial concept of current trends. Individual supervision and assistance support and accompany the work process.

Course leader: Lord, Birgid. The course instructor is a freelance visual artist - studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts Karlsruhe - and has been a lecturer for many years, including at the European Art Academy in Trier.
