Why wander into the distance...
From FR-St. Georgen to
Kirchhofen via the Markgräfler Wiiwegli with a Straußi refreshment stop
Hike through the autumnal vineyards at grape harvest time.
Vineyards and orchards alternate on the Wiiwegli
with passages through deciduous forests and pretty winegrowing villages.
Walking time: approx. 3.5 hours (12 km) 230 m ascent
Meeting point: 13:00 at the "Schneeburg" bus stop in
FR-St. Georgen.
Stop for refreshments at the end of the hike at the Lorenz Straußi in
Kirchhofen.
Return journey from Kirchhofen to Freiburg at approx. 18:00 with the
bus from the "Raiffeisenplatz" bus stop. Individual return journey also
possible.
