The TAPE ART CONVENTION 2026 opens on Saturday, October 3, 2026

Tape art describes an artistic practice that uses adhesive materials as a medium. Simple, everyday materials are transformed into a diverse range of works—from abstract compositions and figurative motifs to large-scale installations.

The Tape Art Convention, held as part of the soundcity Freiburg Festival, brings together international artists and offers insights into the versatility and creative range of Tape Art. The exhibition brings together different perspectives, working methods, and artistic approaches within the medium. In addition to the exhibition, workshops and open-format events invite visitors to explore Tape Art hands-on and experience the material’s possibilities firsthand.

The exhibition runs through December 31, 2026, and can be visited during the following hours:

Monday + Thursday: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Friday and Saturday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
