Stuart Maxwell

Stuart Maxwell is one of the most respected harmonica players on the British blues scene. He has toured the United Kingdom, Europe, and Scandinavia, and has recorded live sessions for BBC Radio 1 and the blues program on BBC Radio 2. His music has also been featured on the “Late Junction” program on BBC Radio 3. He was the frontman for the Mick Ralphs Blues Band (Bad Company, Mott the Hoople), played Hammond organ with the Pete Brown Band (Cream, Graham Bond, Piblokto!), and toured with the 1970s R&B icon Brewer’s Droop. He also released four critically acclaimed albums with the progressive blues band Storm Warning. His songs have been covered by artists including Chris Farlowe, the Hitman Blues Band, and the British blues-rock group Long Road Home. He contributed to the Cinelli Brothers’ album *British Blues Summit* and co-wrote the track “Much Too Much” with them. Over the years, Stuart has collaborated with many greats of the modern British blues, rock, and jazz scenes, including Krissy Matthews (Hamburg Blues Band, Pete Brown), Derek White (Larry Miller, Storm Warning, Bernie Marsden, Cinelli Bros), Matt Edwards (Alice Armstrong, Buddy Whitington, John Verity), Jason Reeve (John Etheridge, Nigel Price, Dave Green), Art Themen (Alexis Korner, Stan Tracey, Graham Bond), Ric Lee (Ten Years After), Nick Johnson (Thunderclap Newman, Everything Under The Sun), Robin Boult (Howard Jones, Fish), and Gary Fletcher (The Blues Band).
