Strong Through Connection – A Workshop on Feminist Solidarity and Sustainable Activism

Courses & workshops
Registration required

Patriarchal structures, anti-feminism, the societal shift to the right, and rising militarism make it difficult to achieve social and political progress in the current climate. This is precisely why it is important to stand up against regressive trends and fight for a feminist and just future. But how can we, as FLINTA people (women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans, and agender people)—who are directly affected by many of these inequalities and power structures—remain active when the challenges sometimes seem overwhelming and change seems almost out of reach?

In this one-day workshop, we want to gather strength together and empower one another to continue being vocal and active together on the streets, at work, at information booths, and in all other places. We’ll discuss how the current political and social situation affects us and our activism—and together develop initial counterstrategies. We’ll look back at the past to learn from the different generations on whose shoulders we stand. To stay active in the long term—to stay passionate without burning out—we need sustainable activism. For this, and also for moments of hopelessness, we’ll provide you with supportive tools in this workshop. In a visioning exercise, we’ll imagine our future just the way we want it—and set out on that journey together.

The workshop is aimed at FLINTA people who identify as feminist activists in a wide variety of ways (whether in peace, climate, or anti-fascist groups, for example).

When? Sat, Nov. 28, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Where? Haus des Engagements, Rehlingstraße 9, 79100 Freiburg
