Sarah Bosetti - Make Democracy Great Again!

Words Against the End of the World

What do an AfD voter and a climate activist have in common? The fear that the world, as it is, will come to an end. So much for a divided society! Whether on the right or the left, an “old white man” or a young “woke” woman, a cargo bike enthusiast or an anti-vaxxer: we’re united in our fear of a bleak future.
But Sarah Bosetti isn’t in the mood for fear and gloom. And she has a better idea! If we don’t like the future as it’s being portrayed, then we should paint a brighter one and work toward it. If no one feels like dealing with democracy anymore, we shouldn’t give it up—we should make it better.

“Make Democracy Great Again!” is a funny, biting, and thought-provoking plea to save democracy. Sarah Bosetti gives politicians communication lessons, comes up with the best fake news stories, writes thought-provoking protest signs, and shows why it’s a privilege to be able to get up off the couch.

Sarah Bosetti is a satirist, author, poet, and feminist against her will. She writes and hosts the monthly late-night show “Bosetti Late Night” (3sat), the weekly satire program “Bosetti will reden!” (ZDF), and the extra3 podcast “BosettisWoche” (NDR), and regularly goes on live tours throughout the German-speaking world.
