Concert in Münster - *The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace*

The inaugural concert of the new cathedral music director, Andreas Mölder, is entirely dedicated to the longing for peace. To that end, he has put together a program that combines emotional depth with powerful timbres. Knut Nystedt’s intimate a cappella work “Peace I Leave with You” meets the powerful sounds of Karl Jenkins. In addition to his famous “Peace, peace!” from “The Peacemakers,” his world-renowned, haunting mass “The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace” will be performed.

To celebrate this special debut, the musical ensembles of the Freiburg Cathedral will come together in a large-scale performance. Performers include the Freiburg Cathedral Boys’ Choir, the Freiburg Cathedral Choir, the Freiburg Cathedral Orchestra, and the Cantors’ Schola at Freiburg Cathedral. The choirs will be accompanied by the Baden-Baden Philharmonic, with contralto Veronika Lutz as soloist.
