Reading & Discussion: Cora Wucherer - All the Colors, All the Light

Lectures, readings & discussions
Juna, seventeen, is determined to become a painter despite her failing eyesight, and Martha, thirteen, wants to step out of her shadow. A tribute to the love between sisters and to art.

“A tribute to the love between siblings and the indomitable power of art.” — Annika Büsing

Juna is seventeen and, despite her fading eyesight, is determined to become a painter at any cost. Martha is thirteen and is doing everything she can to step out of the shadow of her talented sister. The two barely exchange a word. But then Juna’s prognosis worsens, and they realize that only together can they stand up to the world. With sensitivity and power, Cora Wucherer tells the story of an insatiable hunger for life and of a summer that changes everything.

Cora Wucherer, born in Upper Bavaria, studied English, art, music, and theater at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and graduated from the German School of Journalism. She works as a journalist for *ZEIT* magazine and lives in Munich and Berlin. “All the Colors, All the Light” is her debut novel.
