Julijan Erič plays the Strat as if it were a conversation partner. His solos flow—they speak, shout, whisper—entirely in the spirit of Hendrix. Perfection is secondary—expression is everything. It’s a journey through Hendrix’s rich repertoire: from the Experience to the Band of Gypsys to Woodstock—songs like “Voodoo Chile,” “Fire,” “Spanish Castle Magic,” “Freedom,” and “Machine Gun” are reinterpreted, often in long, wild improvisations. Midnight Lightnin’ is more than just a tribute band. They use Hendrix’s songs as a springboard for experimentation and their own artistic expression.
