Italian-German Literary Discussion with Author Massimo Gezzi on His Debut Novel "Adriatica"

Since 2017, the Freiburg-based publisher nonsolo Verlag has been publishing works by young, promising Italian authors in German, offering German-speaking readers the opportunity to discover the vibrant Italian literary scene through their debut works. On this evening at the Wetzstein, Massimo Gezzi(Lugano) will present his debut novel, “Adriatica,” which was published a few weeks ago in a translation by Christiane Burkhardt (Freiburg).

In a conversation between the translator and the author, we’ll learn more about his concise, atmospherically rich dialogue-driven novel, as well as much about the fascinating Italian literary scene.

With the support of the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia and in collaboration with the Italian Consulate in Freiburg and nonsolo Verlag.

Following the event, there will be an informal discussion with the author and the translator over Dörflinger wine and Oberlindenbrot.
