Dirty Birdy Blues Band

The band’s roots lie in the sweltering South—both musically and otherwise. Band leaders Dirty “Börtie” Birdy (drums) and Dirty “Finger” Birdy (bass) have known each other since their time together in the Heidelberg Big Band in the early ’80s. Since then, they’ve played hundreds of blues concerts in Germany, Italy, and Switzerland with bands like Stout and The Soulutions. The frontman is Dirty “Maximus” Birdy (guitar, vocals), one

the most accomplished Eric Clapton interpreters. Together, the musicians have

have shared the stage, among other things, as the opening act for Luther Allison and Scrifis, as well as the backing band for artists such as Guitar Crusher and Tino Gonzales.
