Where the wine ends - the Oberau (guided tour)

This district with medieval roots thrived on water. As we explore the small, secret paths, we discover not only relics of old factories, but also exotic trees in the former municipal cultivation garden. Often counted as part of the neighboring Wiehre district, the Oberau still leads an unjustly shadowy existence in the public consciousness - time to change that. Because Oberau has a lot to offer: green spaces, Art Nouveau and the relics of former factories. Today's district has developed from an industrial area. As some of the houses on the western Fabrikstraße are under threat of demolition due to the redevelopment of the Ganter site, the buildings are an idyll under threat and deserve a closer look.
