Webtalk: The Wolf Middendorff case

In a webtalk, historian Markus Wolter talks about the history of the Old Synagogue in Freiburg and its significance for the present day. He will also discuss the role of Wolf Middendorff, who took one of the famous photographs of the destroyed synagogue. The lecture is part of the series "Freiburg and the Region under National Socialism" in the winter semester 2024/25 and is being held in cooperation with the State Center for Political Education, Freiburg branch office, the State Working Group of Memorials and Memorial Initiatives (LAGG), the Colloquium Politicum of the University campus Freiburg and the Southern Upper Rhine Memorials Association.
