Panel discussion: War Requiem

As part of the "Talks on current productions" series of the Studium Generale at the University campus Freiburg, Werner Frick, Director of the Studium Generale, Frank Markowitsch, Artistic Director of the Freiburg Bach Choir, conductor Joss Reinicke and historian Heinrich Schwendemann will discuss Benjamin Britten's War Requiem. The concert by the Freiburg Bach Choir with the Bach Orchestra, the Freiburg Cathedral Boys' Choir and the choir and orchestra of the College of Music Freiburg will commemorate the bombing of Freiburg in November 1944. The event is part of the series of events marking the performance of the War Requiem. The series of events is a cooperation between the Documentation Center for National Socialism, the Freiburg Bach Choir, the Studium Generale of the Albert-Ludwigs-University campus Freiburg and the College of Music Freiburg. The panel discussion will take place at the Albert-Ludwigs-University campus Freiburg, KG I, Platz der Universität 3, lecture hall 1015. Participation is free of charge.
