Photography for the discerning: People and portrait photography (weekend)

This course is dedicated to the premier class of photography: portrait and people photography, and teaches both the introduction to classic portrait photography as well as the approach to modern and contemporary techniques in this genre. In addition to general technical basics, formal and compositional factors are taken into account to enable the creation of sophisticated and high-quality images. Special focuses of the course are: Addressing and animating the model, advantageous posing; shooting position and perspective; lighting techniques and targeted lighting; creating character portraits; advantageous multiple portraits or group shots; people photography on the street. Relevant aspects of copyright and personal rights in accordance with the GDPR are also discussed.
