In the near future, humanity is on the brink of collapse: a mysterious disease is turning people into creatures that still look a bit like animals. Those caught by the mutations quickly find themselves socially marginalized. On the run from the angry mob, a group of mutants hide in the forest. Among them: Émile's mother (Paul Kircher). However, he doesn't want to give her up, so he and his father François (Romain Duris) set off in search of her. François doesn't really want to admit that she is no longer the same. And then Émile gets caught too...
