Book tickets

For 30 nights

, the cabinetmaker Georg Elser had himself locked in the Bürgerbräukeller in Munich and hollowed out the pillar of the gallery in order to install his infernal machine, as he called it. It was intended to bring down the entire gallery directly above the lectern.

13 minutes

before the detonation, Adolf Hitler left the Bürgerbräukeller with the entire leadership team, contrary to the original schedule. They all escaped unharmed. The gallery collapsed.

30 meters

before the border crossing into Switzerland, he caught the eye of a border guard from Constance, who took him to the station for questioning.

He was murdered 20 days

before the Dachau concentration camp was liberated.

He had not informed a single person of his plan.

Georg Elser had an inkling of what was in store for Germany and the world. Contrary to the vast majority, his conscience forbade him to remain inactive.

Based on the Gestapo's interrogation protocol, Wengert and Moravek have written a stage play that focuses on Georg Elser the man, his sharp and far-sighted view of the development of Germany under Hitler and the dramatic course of his deed. Inspired by the fate of Georg Elser, Moravek has written songs for the play.
