MUNDOLOGIA: Wild Scandinavia
Jolanda Linschooten
Sunday, 01/02/2026 / 02:30 PM / Konzerthaus Freiburg (Concert hall)
Icy expanses, flickering northern lights and absolute silence - Dutch photographer and adventurer Jolanda Linschooten takes you into the wild heart of Scandinavia. Together with her husband, she paddles through Swedish Lapland and across Lake Inari in Finland in a self-built canoe - far away from civilization for weeks on end.
In winter, Jolanda returns alone to the dark north. She crosses the frozen Finnmarksvidda at -25 degrees, pitches her tent under the Northern Lights and lives with the reindeer seeds in Norway. She also hikes solo through the Øvre-Påsvik National Park, under a breathtaking starry sky.
With impressive pictures and personal stories, Jolanda talks about freedom, the power of nature - and the question of what it's really all about out there. An inspiring talk full of wilderness, depth and longing.
