MUNDOLOGIA: The full-time adventurer

Book tickets

At the age of 28, Dutch-born Tamar Valkenier swapped her promising career as a criminal psychologist with the Dutch police for a life of adventure - on a bicycle she had built from second-hand materials, she set off on a journey around the world that was to take about a year, but is still going ten years later. She traveled on skates, on camels, with a pulka and skis, with a donkey, with a dog sled and, of course, on foot to the remotest corners of our planet. Her first trip to the Altai Mountains of Mongolia touched her the most. With her own horse, camel and dog, she set off on an epic four-month journey...

Playboy magazine called Tamar Valkenier "The most adventurous woman in the world" and she won the coveted prize for "Best Story" at the Discovery Days in Switzerland with her 2023 presentation.
