When HELGE composed Katzenklo in 1993, it was impossible to imagine that it would be possible to see each other on the phone in the future! Complete utopia! But now things are very different! Everyone has a cell phone, and even the youngest children can use them like old people. The vacuum cleaner does its job without a cable and without instructions, and the lawnmower also does its job, regardless of whether someone is standing behind it or preparing the potato crate in the cellar with Germ-Ex so that the things don't germinate.
Cat litter box on wheels, does the master want to visit us on a tricycle or something?
No, that's not possible at the moment, maybe in the future. At the moment, HELGE still needs four wheels to get to us with all his musical instruments and clutter! Strangely enough, at 68, he hasn't aged at all, nor is it even noticeable, on the contrary, he seems to have become more and more of a child over the years, his stories lack any reference to gravity.
As he stands there conducting his band with a thin plastic baton, Herbert von Karajan, if he were still alive, would certainly ask HELGE if he could have lessons with him!
His band is made up entirely of living people, there is no sign of the award-winning so-called "artificial intelligence", in fact you get the impression that it has nothing to do with intelligence at all, pure force of nature, the sound!
"Are your hearing aids switched on, gentlemen?" then it starts.
Would you have given HELGE your wallet for safekeeping 30 years ago? I hardly think so! But today? Today you can do that with confidence. Because everything the master touches becomes pure pleasure.
