Konzerthaus Freiburg (Concert hall)
The "Konzerthaus" attracts thousands of music lovers every year with its program of top-class symphony concerts, musicals and performances by the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra.
The dancing spirals will get you in the swing of things as you enter the Konzerthaus. The twirling sculptures by Stuttgart artist Andrea Zaumseil are meant to embody music and rhythm, making them the perfect companions for a musical evening.
Besides the large concert hall, the building also has two additional rooms and a majestic light-filled foyer, which are used for cultural events such as readings, comedy shows, trade fairs and conferences. Designed by the Berlin architect Dietrich Bangert, the open architecture of the "Konzerthaus" provides a stunning setting for all kinds of events and is rightfully considered as one of the most exciting examples of modern architecture in Freiburg.
