"How work makes you happy - and why true happiness lies in contentment"

By Prof. Dr. med. Claas Lahmann, University Medical Center Freiburg, Department of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy

Work keeps you healthy. But it can also make you very ill: sleep disorders, anxiety, depression, chronic back pain and headaches - these are just some of the symptoms that people complain about. They are often the result of years of stress at work, which manifests itself physically. However, none of us should have to endure a situation that makes us ill; we deserve a working environment in which we feel safe, satisfied and valued.

The lecture helps us to better assess our own situation, to actively bring about change by making small adjustments to our everyday working life and to get off the sickness-inducing hamster wheel. After all, there are often many more ways to change unpleasant and stressful work situations for the better or to break new ground than you might think. At the end of the day, it's all about long-term satisfaction with and at work. Participation is free of charge.
