Why is the light

With its summer concert entitled "Why is the light", the Junge Kantorei Freiburg invites you to an impressive evening of sacred a cappella choral music. Under the direction of Domenico Cerrito, choral works from three centuries will be performed, exploring light and darkness, comfort and hope in moving soundscapes.

At the heart of the program is Johannes Brahms' expressive motet "Warum ist das Licht gegeben den Mühseligen", complemented by works by Heinrich Schütz, Felix Mendelssohn, Josef Rheinberger, Max Reger and Maurice Duruflé.
