Lecture: Virginity. On the genesis of a pictorial program

Magnus Striet, Professor of Fundamental Theology and Philosophical Anthropology at the Albert-Ludwigs-University campus Freiburg, will give a lecture on the topic of "Virginity. On the emergence of an image program". The interdisciplinary lecture series is a cooperation project between the Augustian museum and the Medieval Center of the University campus Freiburg on the occasion of the current special exhibition "Bellissimo!". It provides an insight into the history and intellectual-historical themes of the Renaissance, takes a close look at individual works of art or technical aspects and encourages discussion. The event takes place in the Old University, Max-Kade-Auditorium 1 and is free of charge.
