Lecture: Giovanni Battista Piranesi's multifaceted activities. A look into the workshop

In a lecture, art historian Dr. Stefan Morét will provide an overview of Piranesi's diverse activities, some of which can only be documented more precisely thanks to the collection of drawings discovered in the Staatliche Kunsthalle Karlsruhe in 2014. The lecture series is a cooperation between the Augustian museum and the Dante Alighieri Gesellschaft e. V. on the occasion of the current exhibition "Giovanni Battista Piranesi: Vedute di Roma". The event will take place at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität, Platz der Universität, Kollegiengebäude I, in lecture hall 1199 and is free of charge.
