Lecture: Gertrud Luckner - Ambassador of humanity

Franz Brockmeyer, director of the Gertrud Luckner Library, provides an insight into the history of the library and the life and work of Gertrud Luckner. During the Nazi era, the Caritas employee supported the persecuted in many ways: she maintained contact with concentration camp prisoners, organized hiding places and helped the persecuted to escape. In 1943, she was denounced, arrested by the Gestapo and deported to Ravensbrück concentration camp. She survived and after 1945 campaigned for compensation and remembrance of the persecuted and murdered. Participation is free of charge. The number of participants is limited, please book a free ticket in the online store.
