Lecture: The sound of the 1920s

Daniel Morat talks about the sound of the "Roaring Twenties" at the Museum für Neue Kunst (Museum of Contemporary Art). In English, this period is usually described as the "roaring twenties": stormy, roaring, roaring. In Germany, too, we think of jazz and dance music, radio and gramophone, the rhythm of the big city. Based on some of the pictures in the "Modern Times" exhibition, the lecture develops a panorama of the soundscape of the 1920s and explores its significance for the culture of modernity. Participation costs the regular entrance fee. The number of participants is limited.
