From head to toe: drawing people made easy (weekend course)

The human figure has fascinated artists for centuries - no wonder, since our own body and face are our most immediate "model". In this course, we will approach the human figure with creative and playful exercises. We start by drawing spirals, circles and rectangles in different directions. Spheres, cylinders, cones and boxes emerge from this. These geometric studies enable us to understand body proportions and postures and to draw the human form. Whether head, face, feet or hands - all the basic elements of human anatomy are covered. Our "models" are ourselves: We practise sketching each other in the group or create self-portraits with a hand mirror. - Please bring your own: Hand mirror and drawing materials as available.
