From the nuns' crypt to paradise (guided tour)

In cooperation with VISTAtour and ARGE Freiburger Stadtbild - The tour begins in the cellars of a former convent: a large vault contains not only the tombs of the convent's inhabitants, but also a collection of the most important gravestone originals from the old cemetery. From there, we will take you to the site of the vanished "Paradise" quarter. You will find out why a strange triangle of streets still puzzles us today and hear stories of slaughterhouses, bathhouses and the former Paradise Mill. At the industrial stream in the medieval "Schneckenvorstadt", you will encounter the life and work of earlier centuries and the rules of the "Runzgenossenschaft" that still apply today. - Registration required.
