From the figure to the portrait - playfully drawing people (weekend course)

The human figure has fascinated artists for centuries - no wonder, since our body and our own face are an easily accessible "model". In this course, we approach the human body through playful exercises: first we draw spirals, circles and squares in different directions. These geometric studies enable us to understand body proportions and postures in a simplified form and to draw people. Whether head, face, feet or hands - all basic forms of human anatomy are covered. Our "models" are ourselves - whether by drawing each other or making a self-portrait with a hand mirror. - Please bring your own: Hand mirror and drawing materials as available.
