Discover the results of a special binational photography project with Franco-German pupils at the Center Culturel Français!
On the initiative of the Centre Culturel Français Freiburg, pupils and student ambassadors from Germany and France were given the opportunity to learn the basics of photography under the guidance of renowned photographer Éric Vazzoler (winner of the Weimar Triangle 2023) in June 2024. They were then able to apply these newly acquired skills directly at the first binational school sports festival on 13 and 14 June in Karlsruhe, where pupils from Baden-Württemberg and neighboring Alsace competed together, all in the spirit of Franco-German friendship. The young photographers created a documentation of these special moments and encounters in the form of impressive photos.
We cordially invite you to the vernissage of this special exhibition, at which the young photographers and Eric Vazoller will be joined by the First Mayor Ulrich von Kirchbach, the French Consul General Gaël de Maisonneuve, Nadyne Saint-Cast, Member of Parliament for Alliance90/The Greens, and State Secretary Volker Schebesta.
The vernissage will also be accompanied by music from Noémie Bertz and Noémie Bousquet.
The photo project was realized with the support of the Académie de Strasbourg and the Ministry of Culture and financed by the Nouveaux Horizons programme of the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung.
