And tomorrow the whales go on strike

Book tickets

The news hits the coastal town like a storm: ten whales have beached themselves in the bay. Even 16-year-old Mel rushes to the beach. There must be something she can do! But the emergency services send her away: all the whales are dead, they say. But Mel refuses to be put off. Anger rages inside her: Who is to blame for the disaster? Nature? Man? The underwater noise that is confusing the animals? She knows one thing for sure: she only counted nine whales on the beach - the tenth must still be out there. Without further ado, Mel climbs into a small boat, sets off on an adventurous rescue mission and confronts urgent questions about the environment and climate change. Before Mel and her whale visit schools in Freiburg and the surrounding area, our classroom play can be seen twice in the Werkraum!
