Konrad Wallmeier invites you to immerse yourself in a world in which art is far more than a visual experience. His current works make the power of light and movement tangible - elements that he uses specifically to shape emotions and open up new perspectives. At the heart of his work are light objects, interactive and kinetic installations as well as projections that break down familiar thought patterns and allow viewers to enter into an active dialog with the artwork. This creates spaces in which the boundaries between art and audience become blurred and every reaction becomes an inspiring interaction. Through the continuous integration of technological innovations, Wallmeier is constantly expanding the forms of expression of his works. His artistic practice is an ongoing journey of discovery that encourages critical reflection and re-evaluation of his own surroundings.

Konrad Wallmeier (*1960, Sassenberg) lives and works in Freiburg. After training as a craftsman and studying solar and wind energy at the University of Kassel, he was technical director of the Kiepenheuer Institute for Solar Physics for ten years. He has been working as an experimental artist since 2004. In 2018, he was awarded the Art Prize of the City of Walldorf.
