Super election year 2024: How the far right is reaching for power

Whether in Germany, the USA or Austria, the extreme right is reaching for power and applying the same pattern everywhere. As different as the countries, conditions and parties may be, the threat to democracy is real everywhere.

In her lecture as part of the "FRIAS Freiburg Horizons", right-wing extremism researcher Natascha Strobl will highlight the commonalities of the extreme right and explain why, in her view, current fascism functions transnationally and globally. She will then discuss her theses with Dr. Arndt Michael, head of the Colloquium politicum.
