Once a month it's party, party, party!

Hundreds of queer people run to the Waldsee to celebrate here in the middle of the green, Freiburg's most traditional party.

SchwuLes DANCE. As is well known, the best way to dance is to strong beats and vibrating basses. The special flair of the party at the lake of the same name invites people to meet, get to know new people or simply have a lot of fun. A party crowd then drags itself up the street at around 9:00 p.m. and tumbles back towards the cars, cabs or public transport at around 4:00 a.m.

The party is organized and supported by volunteers, the Rosa Hilfe e.V. and the Waldsee restaurant for over 25 years.

In addition to beer and the usual long drinks, there is a separate champagne bar. The dedicated DJs come from the area or from further afield, for example Berlin. The heart of the party are its guests. It is their support that has made the party's long existence in Freiburg possible in the first place.

Singing along, dancing along, celebrating along - making the world a better place together for a while.
