Biologist and nature educator Mareike Possienke will be talking about the fascinating life of butterflies on Wednesday, April 2 at 7 p.m. at the Catholic Academy in Freiburg, Wintererstr. 1, and online. Mareike Possienke has been documenting local biodiversity as a nature photographer for over ten years. Her aim is to bring the beauty of nature to life and raise awareness of the need to protect these endangered animals. In addition to exciting basic knowledge about butterflies, their habitats and survival strategies, the lecture also shows practical conservation measures that anyone can implement. Participants can also look forward to fascinating nature photographs showing the butterflies up close.
The event in collaboration with the Musella Foundation for a Socio-Ecological Future will take place on site and online.
