Scarbo

To the virtuoso music of Maurice Ravel, dancer Manon Parent draws the audience deep into her inner world in the solo SCARBO. A world full of sadness, anger, joy, helplessness and strength. Feelings that find their expression through the dancer's expressive movements - direct and unfiltered. To show oneself without any showing yourself without any masks and giving your own emotions full space is a freedom that we rarely allow ourselves. The resulting intimacy between dancer and audience is the core of the piece. The audience is free to consider whether the stage is fiction or reality, memories of the past or a personal story. SCARBO explores the role of narrative in contemporary dance in terms of function, form and meaning. The dancer herself is at the center of this narrative, which is about the interplay of body, soul and emotion.
