Rossini - Petite Messe solenelle // Junge Kantorei Freiburg

On Friday, July 19, 2024, the Junge Kantorei Freiburg will be a guest at the Auferstehungskirche Littenweiler as part of their end-of-semester concert. Under the direction of Domenico Cerrito, the Petite Messe solennelle by Gioachino Rossini will be performed in the first version for choir, soloists, piano and harmonium preferred by the composer himself. Accompanied by Camilla Arnese (piano) and Miriam Schulze (harmonium), four young graduates of the Freiburg University of Music will perform as soloists: Lena Geiger (soprano), Lea Krüger (alto), Raphael Lehnert (tenor) and Linus Fischer (bass).

The Junge Kantorei Freiburg is a student-run concert choir that prepares one major work per semester. Since the winter semester 2021, choirmaster Domenico Cerrito, who grew up in Wehr, has been the choir's artistic director and conductor. The concert starts at 8 pm.
