RODOLPHE BURGER - Electro-Jazz-Multigenie from France

Book tickets

In the early 80s, Rodolphe Burger founded the band Dernière Bande, from which the art-rock band Kat Onoma emerged in the 90s, which still has cult status in France today and sets standards, above all with Burger's distinctive guitar playing and his characteristically dark and very intense vocal style. He has pursued a productive solo career in dialog with jazz musicians and jazz-savvy musicians such as the multi-talented Philippe Poirier, but also with post-punk and electronica such as Stephan Eichler (Grauzone). Burger has already given numerous concerts together with guitarist James Blood Ulmer and also has a long history with jazz trumpeter Eric Truffaz. For a Paris radio concert, Burger has engaged guests such as the singer Rahid Taha and the multi-instrumentalist Betrand Belin. One thing has never changed in all his projects: Rodolphe Burger is and remains a master of understatement. He is always unagitated, playful and extremely casual. Rodolphe Burger has hardly appeared in Germany so far - don't miss this very special evening!
