Reviewing And Talking About "On the Move" & "Arrival"

This lecture prepares students for the written exam, which will focus on both the short story collection On the Move and the 2016 feature film Arrival directed by Dennis Villeneuve. The aim is to advise students on how to comprehensively digest and analytically dissect these pieces. Students will learn how to write about a piece of literature or film on more than just a surface level, which is done through identifying running themes and concepts within the stories and drawing connections to current world affairs and everyday life.

Participants are advised to come with an in-depth knowledge of the short stories and film.
