Paul Ahl and Christina Sperling are showing new works. They create compositions from found objects in order to take a fresh look at the everyday. Both explore aesthetic interactions and the influence of cultural and social factors on material objects: Ahl uses discarded objects to draw attention to the inconspicuous and the incidental; Sperling focuses on the immaterial and the associated processes of perception. In Jasmine Tutum's new multimedia installation, listening becomes a decolonial practice.
Artificial Life and Death presents video works by Angelo Custódio, Anan Fries, Margarit Lehmann, Johanna Mangold and Valie Winter. They examine the complex relationships between life and death, negotiate the boundaries between artificiality and naturalness and ask how social and technological developments are changing these boundaries.
