Paula Bilá & The Leaning In Undergrounds

Book tickets

Paula Bilá is one of the most powerful voices Spain has produced in recent years. Deeply rooted in the flamenco of Andalusia, her homeland, she writes, plays and sings music that moves freely between the most diverse genres, but always with a clear reference to the musical tradition of her homeland.

The Latin American pieces, mostly boleros, are interpreted by LEANING IN Underground in the spirit of Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers' Latin Jazz concept: with a sense of melody and atmosphere, but without the futile attempt to copy the rhythm and groove of the Latin American masters - and accordingly anything but shy about putting their own stamp on boleros and Latin Jazz.

Paula Bilá - vocals
The LEANING IN Underground:
Linus Eppinger - guitar
Nicolai Daneck - piano
Ties Laarakker - bass
Peter Primus Frosch - drums
