Oz

Kansas is hit by a devastating drought for the third year in a row. A tornado sweeps across the gray wasteland and whirls ten-year-old Dorothy into the middle of a fantastic adventure full of mysterious powers, supernatural forces and witchcraft - far away from home, in the land of Oz. For their adaptation of Lyman Frank Baum's world-famous tale THE WIZARD OF OZ, the team from DRACULA, KARLSSON VON DACH and FRANKENSTEIN are taking on an unusual theater challenge: Because the play will be performed on two stages - in two rooms - at the same time! Children and adults experience two completely different versions of Dorothy's story through the parallel action. Who experienced what that evening? Who missed the best scene of the evening? And what will remain a secret at all costs? The play begins for everyone together in the Werkraum (access via the La Culinaria restaurant), before the audience is divided into two groups - adults and children - and the children are whisked away to Oz without their parents. We will be showing the production in February, March and April 2025. On Sat, 29.03.2025, we are offering OZ in a one-off latenight performance for adults at 9.30 pm.
