Eastern European perspectives

Not just since the war against Ukraine, but since then with renewed urgency, we have been concerned with the prospects of Central and Eastern European countries. We are moved by how many people from these countries are pinning their hopes on Europe. What do they associate with this hope and how could and should we respond to these hopes? The Katholische Akademie Freiburg, the Heinrich Böll Stiftung Baden-Württemberg, the Literaturhaus in Freiburg, Theater Freiburg and the Museum für Neue Kunst (Museum of Contemporary Art) in Freiburg want to bring together writers, artists, historians and politicians on Thursday, December 5 and Friday, December 6, 2024 to engage in a conversation with each other and with the general public. In this context, readings with current texts by Eastern European authors will take place on Fri, 06.12.2024 at Theater Freiburg.
