Oratorio John the Baptist

An impressive oratorio dedicated to the namesake of St. John's Church marks the start of the patronal feast in the anniversary year. The oratorio is a joint work by the composer Thomas Strauss and the librettist Tilman Krieg. Four soloists, the Ortenau Bach Choir and the Ortenau-Strasbourg Bach Consortium will perform this powerful creation of sound under the direction of the composer.
